How it Works

• The program is based on the principle that exposing young puppies to brief, mild stresses helps stimulate the neurological system during a critical developmental period.

The Process

• Tactile stimulation: Gently tickle between the puppy's toes with a Q-tip for 3-5 seconds.
• Head held erect: Hold the puppy with its head up for 3-5 seconds.
• Head pointed down: Hold the puppy upside down for 3-5 seconds.
• Supine position: Cradle the puppy in your hands on its back, with its belly facing up, for 3-5 seconds.
• Thermal stimulation: Place the puppy's feet down on a damp washcloth that has been chilled in the refrigerator for at least five minutes, for 3-5 seconds. Do not restrain the puppy from moving off of it.
